On Friday, 24 July, 2015, the first People Development Day, sponsored by Tanja Rueckert from COO P&I Development Services & Operations Management, took place in St. Leon Rot, Germany. This learning and networking event represented a unique opportunity for all employees within Customer Innovation & Services to learn more about the variety of development opportunities at SAP.

The morning started with the opening keynote by Tanja Rueckert, followed by a very inspiring speech on professional intelligence by Prof. Dr. Gunther Dueck, former CTO at IBM.

Afterwards, Dani Wissmeier and Michael Roemer gave a presentation on continuous learning to become THE cloud company, focusing on SAP’s learning opportunities and the newly developed cloud curriculum.

After the keynotes, the participants were able to choose between attending panel discussions about fellowships or coaching & mentoring, and visiting breakout sessions, in which several colleagues shared their personal experiences about career development. During the course of the day, the attendees could also browse the information booths and meet the leadership team.
