Dear All,

continuing the series of blog1, blog2, blog3, blog4, blog5, here are some updates from release 1508.  I am aware that I completely missed blogging about the releases in between and my sincere apologies for that.

As a short summary about the releases in between, we further enhanced our localization for Employee Central Countries - Switzerland, France, Germany, Venezuela, India, Indonesia, MENA countries, Belgium, Ukraine, Brazil, Argentina, Russia, Netherlands, USA, Finland, Australia, Canada, Romania, Korea, New Zealand, Philippines, Japan  etc. In addition we also further enhanced our global benefits functionality including support for Pensions and Insurances. Further Advances Recovery is integrated with Recurring Deductions. Upgrade Center is further enhanced to include archiving support and further country localizations. On the EC Payroll front, Columbia and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are also available for you. In addition Indian IT Declarations functionality is also integrated with EC Payroll now. The summary doesn't give you much information, but hopefully, just the sheer number of enhancements being pushed every release  excites you enough.
In this blog, I will be talking more about release 1508. So what do you get with release 1508?
With release 1508, 2 new countries versions Kenya and Nigeria have been added, thus taking the total of Employee Central localized countries to 73. Impressive, isn't it. The best part is these 2 countries can be switched on via upgrade center. This brings the control of switching on/off country versions completely into administrator hands and reduces the dependency on professional services.  Why Kenya and Nigeria, do check out blog from my colleague Petra here.

The existing Localization for Russia, Brazil, Belgium, USA were further enhanced. For USA, it is possible to create your own reporting entity to support VETS/EEO reporting. In addition, consolidated name formats for all countries supported so far have been provided, which can be downloaded from Success Store and used in your instance.
In addition, we provided email notifications possibility on enrollments to benefits. So once an employee gets enrolled to benefit plans (manual or auto enrollment) , an automatic email notification is generated to inform him about his current enrollments. Further, pension contributions, company car and insurance contributions, deductible allowances are now integrated with recurring deductions. The recurring deductions can be either extracted to provide this this information to 3rd party payroll provider.  Or in case EC Payroll or on-premise payroll is being used side-by-side, deductions information gets replicated to Infotype 14 and thus can be deducted from employee salary. The deductions can be further checked in the payslip from Employee Central. You might ask, "what else"? Wait, it's not over yet - It is possible now to also edit enrollments from the employee overview for Global Benefits.
Document Generation is another feature that we released for Employee Central this release. You can check more details here. I am a bit euphoric seeing a response on this blog. 181 Shares on Linked-In, that's pretty cool and goes towards validating our decision to build the same. So thanks for all the comments, likes, shares, tweets and interest on this new functionality which I am pretty excited about.

On the Payroll front, Timesheet integration with payroll was provided. Further for UK, business to authority communication is possible now. In addition, automatic synchronization of Payroll tax data with BSI(US) is possible  as well.

I haven't been able to cover all enhancements for 1508, but more details can be checked from release highlights.

Exciting!! Isn't it? Many more exciting enhancements coming up in next release. Until then, keep watching this space.

Yours sincerely,

Priyanka
