You Asked for an SAP Training Environment After Class….We Listened!

As an SAP instructor, the second most popular question asked by my students after “What time do we get out on Friday?”, is “How long can we ‘play’ in the system?”  When I tell them “’til the last day of class,” their face falls.  Sometimes I hear grumbles. Some reply “It sure would be nice to be able to run through the exercises again, next week, to reinforce my learning.”

Sound the trumpets!  That time has arrived!

SAP Live Access lets you practice what you’ve learned in class, on your own time, in a private SAP training environment.

“Anyone?” “Anyone interested?”  “Bueller?… Bueller?”

SAP Live Access is a portal offered by SAP Education. It allows you to practice your skills, and most importantly, learn by doing in a live, on-demand, fully supported private SAP training environment.  SAP Live Access systems are preconfigured with the data that you will need to practice your class exercises, after your class ends.

Until now, only subscribers to SAP Learning Hub could take advantage of SAP Live Access.  But, for a limited time, SAP Education is including extended training system access via SAP Live Access and extended social learning and collaboration with your peers and instructors with select courses.  This offer applies to any of the following courses scheduled in North America between September 1, 2015 and the end of this year:

Starting on the first day of class, you will have 20 hours of practice time that you can use over a span of a 30 day period in your own private SAP training environment.  And you can do it in any time increment you want; an hour here, a few hours there; whatever fits your schedule!  Pricing for SAP Live Access is included in the price of the course at a 15% discount.

We have not forgotten those of you who may have already enrolled in the courses listed here.  SAP Education will contact you soon to offer the option of purchasing SAP Live Access at a 15% discount. If you just cannot wait to take advantage of this offer, you can contact us directly at 1-888-777-1727 or mail to: education.northamerica@sap.com

Join a private learning room built just for your course

When you become a member of one of the courses listed in this blog, you will be invited to join a private learning room set up specifically for that course.  You will be able to post questions to your instructor, collaborate and stay in touch with classmates, and download instructor handouts. WOW!

We want to hear from you!

This offer is a trial that starts September 1st and continues for the rest of the year.  We are using this trial to discover if bundling SAP Live Access with courses helps you learn better,  If it does, then we will definitely consider expanding this to other courses. What do you think?  Does bundling SAP Live Access with our courses add value and help you improve your learning?

Don’t let this opportunity pass you by

If you see a course that interests you, and private practice time and social learning are important to you, then grab this offer before the end of the year!

See you in class! Ferris??

It's great to see that SAP Education is taking on board the key feedback that learners need system access after they leave the classroom but having such an offer limited to North America only is quite disappointing for the rest of the world.

I like the idea of SAP Live but have not purchased it yet as 20 hours is not a very long time to practice. It sounds like a lot but you can easily consume the time trying to get your head around one concept. I know there are days at work when I can lose an entire day consumed in one error message of a single step in a configuration setup. I could quite easily chew through 20 hours in one chapter of a course guide if I try the various ways of configuring something.

Although this is going beyond the purpose of your announcement, SAP Live would work better as a weekly or monthly subscription - unlimited hours in that duration. Someone who wants to prepare for an exam but is not allowed to use their company system can configure and practice to their heart's content

Again, nice to see SAP Education is continually improving. I just wonder how long until the rest of the world gets a look in.

          Regards

          Colleen

The good news is that SAP Education EMEA will also shortly be offering SAP Live Access for classroom customers - we are just ironing out the details and I will let you know once I have the details.

Great that there is such enthusiasm for this topic!

That is great to see a globally consistent service. It's a key benefit of Learning Hub - it doesn't matter which location you are in you can the same content and access opportunity.
