SAP Labs India IoT Fair 2015

SAP Labs India organized IoT Fair 2015 week from July 6-10. During the week-long fair, we had talks on SAP IoT Vision by SAP Labs India Leaders and IoT Solutions Demos and hands-on sessions by industry experts. It also included the Experience zones, IoT Chef challenge, and SAP IoT Fair Quiz. The event took place at SAP Labs, Bangalore.

The welcome note was given by Mahesh Nayak, Chief Operating Officer, SAP Labs India followed by the keynote from Dilipkumar Khandelwal, Managing Director, SAP Labs India.

Arjun Venkatraman,CEO and Founder of HackerGram talked about his transformation and journey with IoT. He attempted to showcase the impact that IoT innovations can bring to the grass roots of the society. He also talked about the practical obstacles they come across which are never a consideration in the industry.

Vijay Seethapathy, VP – Foundations & Applications, Suite Engineering and Srikanth Gopalakrishnan, VP – LoB HCM talked about the focus and importance of IoT & Innovation @ SAP. This was followed by Vishnu Prasad Hegde and Clement Selvaraj, Chief Development Architect, talking on SAP IoT Platform. Advanced session on the same topic was given by Supriya Mayank Umbarkar and Mayur Belur Mohan.

IoT Chef

A 3 day –  3 theme – 3 round challenge to build  IoT applications from the resources provided. Having received a whopping 124 entries, SAP Labs India Leadership team has decided to continue organizing IoT Chefs going forward, calling it “IoT Chef Season ##”. For IoT Chef Season 1, 30 teams have been selected.

Overall, the week-long fair was very informative and well organized. Kudos to SAP Labs India Board and the event Core Team! Hope to have the next IoT Fair, IoT Chef Season 2 soon.
