Humans of SAPsv
Employees Tell Their Story

Perhaps you've heard of Humans of New York (HONY), the five-year-old vibrant photograph-blog-turned-#1-New-York-Times-best-selling-book run by a man named Brandon that provides a worldwide audience with daily glimpses into the lives of the people in New York City. Inspired by HONY, we decided to do our own spinoff and call it Humans of SAPsv. Each week, through the end of December, we'll feature three employees complete with their picture, name, title, Twitter handle, and snippets of their passion for SAP, their commitment to their colleagues and community, and what inspires them both inside and outside of SAP.

If you're interested in the chance to be featured in Humans of SAPsv, please email Magen Petit. Enjoy learning more about your colleagues and share your comments below!

See the Humans of SAPsv Weekly Series on SAPsv Jam.

What are you passionate about at SAP?
Customer focus. SAP’s customers touch every corner of the world and it’s our responsibility to make sure the customer will be successful when using our products. In my role in the Chief Customer Office, I get the opportunity to be in front of the customer every day, and make them so happy with SAP that they want to tell everyone else about us.

What’s your favorite thing about working at SAP?
Interacting with so many smart and interesting people. We are a very large company so there are a lot of opportunities to meet new people. It’s exciting to make those connections, which creates a tight network of diverse communities.

If you could have one super power, what would it be?
I would be Harry Potter. The dude’s got it all: Flying on brooms, surviving death, walking through platform 9 3/4. It’s a good life.

What is an item on your bucket list?
I want to travel to every continent. There’s a lot to see out there and getting to experience all of the continents would be awesome.

What makes you the happiest at work?
Knowing that I make a huge impact and make a difference to the executives and groups that I support.

What’s the best SAP program you’ve been involved in?
Corporate Volunteer Programs - it's always nice to take your mind off of work for a little bit and collaborate with co-workers in a setting outside of the office and doing a good deed by giving back to the community.

If you could have one super power, what would it be?
Super intelligence, because with super intelligence comes the power of invention, and with invention comes infinite ability.

What is your favorite hobby?
I enjoy watching movies, singing karaoke, reading…and, does shopping count?

What are you passionate about at SAP?
Helping de-mystify the business value of cloud to employees and customers.

What’s your favorite thing about working at SAP?
The impact that SAP has beyond simply business. SAP’s huge global reach across all types of organizations is inspiring enough, but the real value of what we all do every day to help the less fortunate, whether it's through our work with healthcare organization or nonprofits, or via all the employee-led initiatives SAP prioritizes, is a wonderful motivator!

If you could have one super power, what would it be?
Provide instant education to all those who lack access to a basic education.

What’s your favorite hobby?
Playing post-1968 Rolling Stone songs on my electric guitar in open G with my 5-year-old strings that never break for some reason!
