This was an SAP webcast last week with SAP’s Angela Harvey and Frank Bannert, who is the product manager for the product.  The product is in rampup and the official SAP Help says

“SAP IT Operations Analytics (SAP ITOA) is an Analytics offering that allows IT to have a comprehensive view of their data center. Traditionally, different areas of a data center have been managed by different groups with different tools, making root-cause analysis challenging and increasing mean time to resolution. With SAP ITOA 1.0, log data is streamed in real-time so you can do comprehensive, real-time analysis.”

SAP IT Operations Analytics is a native application built on HANA, but it does not require a full HANA license

It uses mart data streaming, real time streaming of logged data, to make real time analysis with alerting functions

It uses predictive in HANA for preventive maintenance

In the future it will have an SDK available

As an example, you can have 9 million logged events and today we use 7-20 different monitoring tools
