Summer School of SAP University Alliances for CIS Region Faculty Members

This year, SAP UA CIS team made up a decision to empower faculty members with new knowledge on SAP technology and updates of LEARN portfolio over the summer break and held a four days Summer School, which pretty much appeared to be an intensive 4-day TTT for different technologies and industries.

The agenda of the event was composed respectively of four different blocks - one for each day, starting July 20:

1. SAP Portfolio Innovations

That block one having taken part on the 1st day was split in two sections: (1) updates of UAP Global LEARN portfolio including access to HCP and (2) S/4 HANA presented by local expert.

2. Global сcurricula materials localized for CIS market.

The second day of Summer school was centered on two topics: Industry 4.0 and SAP BusinessOne Presented сcurricula materials subsume system landscape with respective datasets and exercises specially developed for students.

3. Design Thinking Workshop for faculty to deep dive into the methodology

For the whole day three teams consisting of faculty members were brainstorming on ideas around topic of perfect lecturer from different perspectives. This part of the Summer school turned out to be by far the most remarkable.

4. Curricula materials jointly developed by CIS Centers of Expertise and university-members with respective industry expertise:

Two courses developed within Curricula Board sponsored by SAP CIS COO were presented on the 4th day of Summer School: (1) Integrated information systems for Banking (joint project of MGIMO University and Financial Institutions Center of Expertise of SAP CIS) and (2) Integrated management of Oil &Gas companies assets project of Russian State Oil & Gas University n.a. Gubkin and O&G Center of Expertise of SAP CIS).

Overall the event was attended by 28 faculty members (including one student assistant) from 17 different schools of CIS region. The amount of information absorbed by the attendees within 4 days was significant but participants stayed happy with their personal results of the Summer School
