Free agents are taking over the workforce, and here’s how to deal with it

In just 5 years, freelancers and independent workers will make up over 40% of the workforce in the US alone. According to a recent study by Intuit, along with an increase in the number of small businesses, the next decade will see more and more networks of collaborative contingent workers, minimizing fixed labor costs and expanding the available talent pool. The study shows that over 80% of large corporations plan to increase their use of a flexible workforce in the coming decade.


So how will companies manage this massive shift away from traditional employment models?
