Fiori Wave 9 enabling Concurrent and Global Employment

In my last blog post Just Released – New Fiori Apps for HCM in Wave 9, I talked about the 2 new HCM apps delivered with Fiori wave 9. But this is not all. This blog will cover what else was delivered with Fiori wave 9.

Up to wave 8, My Paystubs was the only Concurrent/Global Employment (CE) enabled app (see also note 1926670). But many customers have also been asking for CE enablement in the other HCM apps, such as My Leave Requests or My Timesheet. In response to this customer demand, we delivered an enhancement for CE support in wave 9 (official name: SAP Fiori for SAP ERP HCM 1.0 SPS 2).

If concurrent employment is switched on in the backend, a pop-up allows to choose the personnel assignment in the apps. All further information and actions refer to the selected personnel assignment. Below are some examples.

My Leave Requests

Initial pop-up to select Personnel Assignment

User selects the first personnel assignment #748

User selects the second personnel assignment (# 881). You will notice e.g. the different leaves in the calendar.

The Fiori apps check the concurrent employment primary switch CCURE MAINS in the backend. So in order to display the concurrent employment version of the apps, this switch needs to be turned on.

      Hi,

In addition to this blog, the following posts cover all HCM Fiori apps which are currently available

In the documentation, you can find a section 'App History' for each app which lists the support package stacks in which the app has been enhanced or changed, e,g, for Approve Leave Requests, the link is

App History: Approve Leave Requests (Version 2) - SAP Fiori Apps for Lower Back-End Releases - SAP Library

      Best regards,

      Gertrud

      Hi Gertrud,

I would like to know whether the time entered in Fiori is stored in CATSDB and can we generate CADO report in SAP for the time data maintained in Fiori.

      Thanks and regards,

      Victor

      Hi Victor,

The time entered in Fiori My Timesheet is stored in the CATSDB. This means that you can run CADO and other CATS reports in the backend.

      Best regards,

      Gertrud

      Hi Gertrud,

      Thanks for your response.

Could you tell us as to what could be the probable reasons if the time data entered in Fiori is not updated in CATSDB.

      Thanks and regards,

      Victor

      Hi Victor,

Does the corresponding ESS service work? Do you have other Fiori apps which are working?

      Best regards,

      Gertrud

      Hi Lorenzo,

I am not involved with the Travel apps. You can find the Fiori roadmap in the Service Marketplace under

      Hi Gertrud,

Appreciate your blogs - its nice to have visuals in addition to information about the releases.

Where could I find functional information for the HCM apps?  I am interested in what the layouts out of the box contain (fields).  Is this something I can have the tech group find in Launchpad designer?

Also we installed My Paystub 1.7.2 and in the master list, the check date appeared (great!).  Tech installed version 1.7.5 and the master list now displays the pay period (i.e. 30/2015) - this is an issue.  Is there a configuration option to display the check date again?  I've been trying to find information on this site, but the linked info is somewhat circular and I keep returning to this blog.

      Thank you

We have concurrent employment enabled and everything works fine in ESS portal with Webdynpro's. We applied all the service packs for Fiori and i do not get the popup to choose personnel assignment for a person who have multiple assignments. Am i missing something or do we need to do anything additional configuration.

The class it calls is CL_HCM_TIMESHEET_MAN_DPC_EXT and it clearly gets 2 personnel assignments, but it always reads only the first personnel assignment and doesn't present a popup.

Any help into this would be of great help.

      Thank you
