Video How To – Planning System Maintenance with Maintenance Planner

SAP has recently released the Maintenance Planner which can replace the Maintenance Optimizer in Solution Manager.   We still need Solution Manager and the Landscape Management Database (LMDB) which supplies the SAP Support Portal with information about our system.    Here’s a video on using the tool to download an Enhancement Package for ERP.   Check it out and post any questions.

Please also check out Priti Dhingra‘s Blog on Maintenance Planner and the SCN Wiki. Lastly make sure you have SAP Note 2002546 installed in Solution Manager to ensure you can directly upload system information to SAP from the LMDB.

For those that are ready to get started after watching the video – here is the direct link to the Maintenance Planner https://apps.support.sap.com/sap/support/mp

      Hi MIchael,

I am working as the product owner for the Maintenance Planner tool . Thanks for your candid feedback on the tool. Looking forward to hear back more from you as and when we roll out new features.

One comment : May be once you confirm selection after selecting the technical usages for the first time, the options on the right hand side come again only for users who now wants to install additional software, otherwise you can directly click on the "Next". May be the call out pops ups after confirm selection already give that information. Please provide your feedback there as well.

      Thanks once again.

      Regards,

      Niraj
