On Tuesday July 15, 2015 PD Dr. Jörg H. Mayer and 15 students with a Major in Accounting, Controlling, and Auditing from TU Darmstadt visited SAP Headquarters Walldorf.

The first program point was a three-hour session which was held by Christoph Rendel, Education Consultant at SAP. The session included both theory and practical exercises for accounting. At the end the students had the opportunity to give a feedback on the session. The feedback was very positive in general. The students even wanted more practical training for the purpose to learn the theory better.

During the break the students and their professor had a joint networking lunch at the SAP canteen with Anna Wypior Senior Project Consultant from the SAP University Alliances team. Afterwards they took a 15 minute tour trough the SAP campus.

Next was the visit of the next-generation SAP Inspiration Pavilion, where the visitors  learned more about the history of SAP since its foundation in 1972 and experienced firsthand the manifold faces of Big Data. The students got to know how data is affecting our lives today and uncovered its enormous potential for the future.

The last program point of the day was a presentation from Martin Moll (Human Resources for Early Talents) who informed the students about the possibilities to start as graduate at SAP. In addition, he demonstrated how the students can apply for a job as well as for a working student position or intern on the SAP career portal. Please click here to here visit the SAP Career Center.
