Change Password not working
Hi All,
We noted that, in some cases, you are not able to change the password on Analysis for Office.
This is a know issue and it is related to the .Net Connector (NCo) 3.0.15. The correction will be part of NCo 3.0.16.
I will keep you updated if the correction will be on the Analysis for Office 1.4.13 but as work-around you can change the password directly on the SAPGUI.
UPDATE:
Delivered planned dates that will include NCo 3.0.16:
Analysis Office 1.4 SP14, planned for CW40, 2015
Analysis Office 2.1 SP03, planned for CW48, 2015
UPDATE 03.09.2015:
2204798 – Password change of NetWeaver user not accepted
Thanks,
Diego Ferrary
Dear Diego,
I have also faced this, but in my case it ask for changing the password and when I provide New password and say Ok, it gives message that password can not be changed and need to be changed from SAP GUI, but actually it changed the password, but still it was giving the error message.
Might be some minor glitch which gives the error message even after changing the password correctly, Strange.
Thanks
Vijayendra
Hi Vijayendra,
Thanks for the information.
I have a colleague that reported the same situation.
I'm in contact with development team and will keep this post updated once I got a delivered date to the correction.
Kind regards,
Diego Ferrary

Hi Diego,
thanks for the update.
Is there a specific SAP Note which describes the issue? I could only find one related to SAP HANA http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/2196610
BR,
Michael
Hi Michael,
We don't have a previous SAP note that describe the situation.
You can check the SAP note 2139224 (related to the 1.4 SP14) that is the SP note and will be updated with the corrections.
Version 2.1 remains in rampup so we don't have the delivered note.
Kind regards,
Diego Ferrary
2204798 - Password change of NetWeaver user not accepted is the note that applies to this.
I find it hard to accept that we have to wait until nearly the end of November for a fix for this (2.1)...
