The O’Reilly Open Source Convention (OSCON) is happening this whole week up on Portland, Oregon, here in the USA, and HANA Cloud Platform is there.

If you haven’t heard of or been to OSCON, it’s the premiere convention for those interested in all things having to do with open source software.  It grew out of the Perl conference back in 1997 and has expanded to cover all of FOSS for over 15 years.  SAP has been taking part in this conference for several years. This year, we are a gold sponsor and are sending at least a dozen SAP folks to attend, speak, and represent on the show floor.

Of particular relevance to HANA Cloud Platform, Erich Karl Clauer will be on hand to talk about what we’re doing with HCP and Cloud Foundry. SAP is a platinum member of the Cloud Foundry Foundation and our work here is one of our key open source initiatives.

You can also hear from Janina Blasius and Michael Graf on Wednesday in their session on SAP’s OpenUI5 library called No more web app headaches!

Stop by if you’re at OSCON, tune in to the live stream, or follow along with the #OSCON hashtag on Twitter.
