Sizing in TRM

There is no sizing document for SAP TRM available, neither in a written form nor in the Quick Sizer nor in any other form.

Here is workaround:

* sizing in TRM is quite hard to measure, since we offer a big variety of instruments and functions.

  The system load depends on quite a big number of parameters in TRM,

  much more parameters than in other product.

* There are “big installations”, usually at insurance companies or banks.

  They manage tens of thousands of open positions in several ledgers and

  run often quite complex limit checks (up to 1000 checks per deal)

  or other complex risk analysis. Here there are experienced technical

  consultants which size the system with their knowledge

* There are “small installations”, usually at corporate. They usually

  manage up to some thousands of open positions, mostly FX, money market

  instruments and interest rate derivatives plus some asset or the

  main financing liabilities of a company. This is often done on the

  same instance like the “rest” of the ERP, so the GL, Costing, SD etc.

  Here I got the input, that the added load due to switching on the

  the TRM can usually be neglected. The system is usually big enough.
