Enable Task Filter

This activity allows you to activate or deactivate the task filter.

By default, the filter is deactivated.

When the task filter is set to Active:

  • Sending Notifications: Only notifications of items that were configured using the Maintain Task Names and Decision Options IMG activity or the Workflow Pattern Customization IMG activity are sent.
  • The SAP NetWeaver Gateway Workflow service only receives items that were configured using the Maintain Task Names and Decision Options IMG activity or the Workflow Pattern Customization IMG activity.

******

When the task filter is not set to active:

  • All notifications are sent.
  • All items are read.

    Hi Tejas,

We have configured the standard My Inbox Fiori app. We have referred to the link App Implementation: My Inbox – SAP Fiori for Request Approvals 1.0 – SAP Library and done all the configuration steps mentioned here.

In spite of disabling the task filter as you have mentioned in this blog, we still see the count on the My Inbox tile as 0 (also the user has work items in the SAP Inbox in the backend system). There are no errors i the browser’s developer console and the gateway error log.

Any pointers where else we can check to see why we do not get the correct item count?

    Regards,

    Saurabh

You should be checking for mandatory notes or check troubleshooting steps . What is your IWPGW SP level.

Hi Tejas, We had done the configuration for maintaining task and decision options in the gateway system instead of the back end system. Once we did this configuration in the back end ERP system the My Inbox app now shows the work item details.  Regards, Saurabh

Your Comment to a Document will not receive the same scrutiny from knowledgeable experts as a Discussion marked as a Question.  Many of those experts ignore comments on Documents.  See the Getting Started link at the top right to see the differences between Blogs, Discussions, and Documents and when each should be used.  If your question relates to a specific blog or document, put in a link to it.  With the creation of a Discussion, you will also be able to reward the Helpful and Correct Answers with points. You can also turn on notifications so that whenever someone posts to your Discussion, you will get an email of the update and its contents.

NOTE: Getting the link is easy enough for both the author and document.  Simply MouseOver the item, Right Click, and select Copy Shortcut.  Paste it into your Discussion.  You can also click on the url after pasting.  Click on the A to expand the options and select T (on the right) to Auto-Title the url.
