Geographical maps in SAP applications – which provider is supported?

Which map provider are supported?

SAP Visual Business allows to build geographical components inside SAP applications.

It is the main wrapper to access this external content from SAP applications.

This approach guarantees that without changing the application the customer can select their favorite map provider.

More than 90% of all map providers are supported.

ALK (PC*Miler), HERE, Openstreetmap or PTV are only some map provider

which are tested and their settings are published, see here.

Technically, many other well-known providers have already been integrated.

The customer has to license the maps and the services directly from the provider.

We want to insert map provider in the SAP store in the future.
Taking into account that there are hundreds of map providers this is of course not for all possible.

How can I switch to my map provider?

The maps can be configured without additional development.
