Over the last few years SAP TechEd attendees have taken strong interest in SAP InnoJam and DemoJam.
A number of us within the SAP Developer Relations team have put a lot of thought into SAP InnoJam and DemoJam for 2015 and we are now full steam ahead with preparation for both SAP TechEd events in Las Vegas and Barcelona.
If you haven’t already heard, we have made some changes to DemoJam. Don’t worry –the excellent Ian Kimbell still will be your host and it still will be up to the capable hands of the audience to determine the winner. But this year the six DemoJam finalists are going to be solely selected from the SAP InnoJam competition. This marks a major change for SAP InnoJam and DemoJam. If you would like to make it onto the DemoJam stage, you will firstly need to compete at SAP InnoJam!
In Las Vegas, SAP InnoJam will take place a couple of days before DemoJam, starting with a reception on Saturday night, October 17, followed by two full days of coding on Sunday October 18 through Monday October 19 until 3pm. You can find more information on the changes to SAP InnoJam and DemoJam on Craig Cmehil’s blog: Let’s Get Jamming and on the SAP TechEd website
There will be set themes for SAP InnoJam in both Las Vegas and Barcelona, but the InnoJam attendees will not learn what their individual challenges are until the time of the events.
SAP InnoJam at SAP TechEd Las Vegas, will focus on solving the needs of the Medical and Health Care industries. As the average age of the world’s population increases, critical skills and knowledge are needed across medical practices which help millions of people worldwide every day; but these resources are limited. Through technology, we hope to improve the efficiency and portability of these skills to the ever increasing human population.
SAP InnoJam at SAP TechEd Barcelona will focus on the challenges facing the Energy and Utilities industries (Oil, Gas, Electricity). As the world’s population increases, so does the demand on our natural resources. With the use of technology, we can strive to improve the efficiency of energy generation, sharing, and usage.
Both Medical and Healthcare and Energy and Utilities are two very interesting and needy areas in the world of today, I’m sure you will agree.
We really do expect to see some cool solutions, using SAP technology, that must be created within the 30-hour hackathon.
If you are interested in being part of SAP InnoJam and competing to potentially secure a slot at DemoJam, please select the appropriate options when you register for either SAP TechEd Las Vegas or SAP TechEd Barcelona. Don’t miss out , Seats are limited!!
