HCP Meets East Africa and India in Silicon Valley
SAP Silicon Valley welcomes a very special group of visitors today and tomorrow as part of the SAP Social Entrepreneur Fellowship, and our local members of the HANA Cloud Platform team are honored to be involved.
The Social Entrepreneur Fellowship is a joint venture between SAP and Acumen, a non-profit global venture fund. This year, 10 CEOs of social enterprises in East Africa and India are taking part. Their companies represent a fascinating blend of technology innovation and social responsibility, aiming to solve issues in areas such as sanitation, health care, education, and energy.
The goals of the SAP Social Entrepreneur Fellowship are to:
- address the shared challenges social enterprises face in emerging markets to enable entrepreneurs to achieve a strategic view of growth and scale for their businesses
- equip entrepreneurs with the business and technology expertise to find faster solutions to poverty in East Africa and India
- create a global ecosystem of CEOs, influencers and investors to drive social innovation and impact around the world
Can you imagine how HANA Cloud Platform can play a role for these entrepreneurs and their businesses? We hope to give these 10 entrepreneurs a chance to find out, which is why HCP product management in Palo Alto has teamed up with the program to take advantage of the opportunity to meet. Today and tomorrow, we’ll hear about the CEOs top technology challenges, and then Mike Phorn will provide an overview of HCP, and Aaron Williams will introduce IoT Services.
If you’re interested in finding out more or taking part virtually, check out the #SAPSocent hashtag on Twitter today and tomorrow and look for updates from our CSR representative Nish Pangali. Thank you Nish for helping bring all of us together!
Welcome, Entrepreneurs!
