Macro – Collective Macro
In certain situations we need to execute 2~3 macros one after the other when user goes into interactive planning book or even could be for background processing. This needs to be in a sequence so that we have right results, example first copy key figure A to B, then copy key figure C to D and finally compare B to D and put variance in another key figure (in %).
This all could be done with the help of collective macro. In /SAPAPO/ADVM drag and drop Macro. Thereafter select macro type as collective macro.
Thereafter you will get option to select macros which needs to be executed. Put them in sequence in which you want to execute. Put this macro as default/start etc. event as per your requirement. If you are putting this in background job then select right aggregation level so that data is copied accordingly.
Hello,
Can you please provide to me more details related the tab "No execution During the Plan. Buck.Prof.Change"? It is not clear for me which is the impact if I use it or not.
Thank you,
Valentina
This option is checked when we do not wish to execute the macro on changing the time bucket profile while viewing data in the interactive planning book (via calendar push button on top-> Select Time Bucket Profile).
Hello,
Thank you for answer. The issue is that I changed the Time Bucket Profile and I executed the macro (it is not a collective one) in background and it works. As soon as this tick is set the macro should not work. Can you please provide me more details? I tried to find documentation related this tick but it seems that not exist.
Thank you,
Valentina
Hello,
Cross check SAP note
2178374 - Collective macro is executed, even if "No Execution During Plan.Buck.Prof.Change" is set

Hello,
The setting (check box ) "No execution During the Plan. Buck.Prof.Change" is meant for execution of macro in foreground ( other 2 settings Direct Execution/Confirmation prompt etc are also foreground functionalities). If the time bucket profile is change in the interactive screen, in that case the macro is not going to function. However if the macro is ran under a planning job it's going to do what it's meant to.
I hope this helps. Thanks.

Thank you, I saw it allready but my macro is not a collective one.
Valentina
Point here is that in the mentioned version's in the note its not checking that specific tick. If I check the correction mentioned in the note it's checking for this tick only irrespective of collective or single macro. Cross-check if note is valid for your system and try it in development first. I hope your development is also reacting accordingly (as of now).
