SAP TM Enhancement Guide Chapter 1 – 9
Hello readers,
I’ve been working on the document the last weeks and did some adjustments to the numbering / sequence of chapters + added some additional content.
First the changes in the sequence of chapters:
Last time I published chapter 8 with the subject “Enhancing further Objects, Features & Functions” where I introduced a first sub section on the Gantt Chart. This chapter 8 will now appear as chapter 9.
The new chapter 8:
The new chapter 8 deals with the topic of how to enhance service messages that are used for integration between ERP (ECC) and SAP TM. Based on a simple example, I’ve described the different steps it takes to enhance a service with additional content. Starting from specifying your own Enhancement Software Component in the System Landscape Directory (SLD), modeling and specifying the enhancement Enterprise Services Repository (ESR) down to the implementation of service-related BAdIs that allow passing new data to the sending (ERP) and prosessing it on the receiving side (TM). It’s a chapter that wanted to add for a long time while there were a lot questions arround it passing my desk here in the office.
Hope I can finish the new chapter 8 on service enhancements next week. I’ll publish the new version of the SAP TM Enhancement Guide as usual here in the SCN as soon as I’m done with this.
As I was asked for from a few readers and colleagues, I’ve started collecting some more information on what to consider in case of mass transactions in a BOPF environment. I’ll try to add this to the already known chapter 3 in the document.
I will keep you posted on the mentioned topics and any new things that might come up.
Thanks for the great feedback I’ve received so far & best regards,
Holger
Hi Holger,
could you please (re-)publish the whole document? In SCN the linked document includes chapter 1-6 only. 🙁
Thank you!
Michael
Thanks for this great info! As with others we are having the same problem, the latest one we can find published is chapters 1-8 - and this version is chapters 1-6. When you have a moment can you see if you can correct it?
Thanks again for this wonderful documentation!
