Click “General Options” may cause platform hangs – BFC
I met such an issue that when you click Tools-> General options in SAP Financial Consolidation (FC / BFC), the whole platform hangs.
Finally I found the root cause is that application server and clients are using different service pack (SP) versions.
There are many issues that come from the same cause, I remember that if BFC 10.0 SP 00 client with Server in any SP version, posting manual journal entries (MJE) will never change the status but in the database (DB) level, every click will double your amount.
So remember that every time you upgrade your platform, make sure that the application servers and clients have the same build version.
