In order to enable basic authentication on HCI, it is required to create a new user on http://scn.sap.com/. A secure password should be used.

The scn user (starting with "P", needs to get the role „esbmessaging.send“ assigned by creating an OSS ticket for component LOD-HCI for the respective HCI tenant.

In C4C the communication arrangement (outbound) has to be set to basic authentication and the "P" user and password have to be entered.

On ECC, the "P" user has to be defined inside the definition of the RFC connection in transaction SM59.
