SAP Lumira is planning to provide a unified storyboard experience, improved BW acquisition, blending, big data with Hadoop, difference calculations such as Year over year, time as a data type, conditional formatting, and color palette enhancements
According to Figure 1, it will offer “Agility” with a focus on business user, analytics, decision maker, use analytics to make decisions in line of business, combined with trust, and curation of data

Data wrangling and blending is coming to Lumira with the ability to combine without using a unique key
HANA online combined is possible, with two more datasets
The ability to subtotal across columns is offered, with search and find capabilities in cross tab, expand and collapse hierarchy nodes
It includes multi-level sorting, explicit sorts by dimensions
Location analytics includes strengthen partnership with Esri along with NavTech with these features:
- Address zoom capabilities, 10 zoom levels
- Combine Esri with NavTech base maps
- Can go down to zip code
There was an announcement about Esri licenses too
Additional features include adding reference lines to measures and dates and conditional formatting for charts
Also included are a formulas & expressions editor with script calculations, combine measures and dimensions, dynamic text, median and standard deviation

Trust in Figure 3 is to bridge self-service and IT
SAP has extended Lumira to other Lumira Server for BIP, teams with Web IDE to create extensions
Lumira Server for Teams will include a refresh for more data sources
Lumira Server for BIP includes publishing, LCM, additional platforms to extend for enterprise organization
SAP plans to add Linux support for Lumira for BIP
SAP can connect to BEx queries – Lumira 1.27

Today SAP offers a native MongoDB data access extension
Hadoop takes advantage of commodity hardware
