So, do not wait, go ahead and get your hands-on experience!
Getting started is really easy – just open https://www.sap.com/fiori-demo and click “See demo in action”. All steps to register to SAP Fiori, demo cloud edition are described in detail in this video.
The first thing I would recommend to explore is the end user experience. Try launching applications from various lines of business, move, delete, and add applications from the tile catalog. Watch this video to get a first impression of the end user experience:
Now you might want to adapt the user interface of your SAP Fiori launchpad to your company’s corporate design or to your personal taste. In this video, you can see a very simple example how to change some colors and apply the new theme to your SAP Fiori launchpad. Feel free to experiment with additional options like changing the logo or adding a background image in your own demo cloud edition account.
In addition to the look and feel of the launchpad, you might also want to adapt the application’s UX to your personal or your users’ needs, e.g. adding or removing information from the screen of an application. Experience how SAP Web IDE supports you to make this task really simple with the extensibility pane, how you can easily deploy your adapted app to SAP HANA Cloud Platform, and and how you can quickly create a new tile in SAP Fiori launchpad for your newly created application. Watch this video to see how it works.
Finally, the demo cloud edition also gives you access to SAP HANA Cloud Platform cockpit to manage your extended applications. Take a look how you can check existing versions of an application and decide which one to activate in this video.
