Recently, SAP and MapR partnered together to test the performance of the SAP IQ columnar analytics database running on top of the MapR Data Platform. The pairing of the two has resulted in impressive IQ database I/O performance. When IQ data files are located on the MapR file system compared to a traditional file system, the IQ cluster exhibits near linear scalability in I/O throughput as IQ server nodes are added to the cluster.
The benefits to the IQ user are profound.
