      Hi Rob

The Learning Hub is good environment for knowledge exchange and especially the student version of the platform.  However it is disappointing that barriers have been put in place to prevent students from accessing the Learning Hub.  Currently students can only access the Learning Hub if:

      1. The academics in their university are aware of the Learning Hub and the value it provides.
      2. The university is willing to purchase a number of licenses from SAP for the Learning Hub.
      3. The university is willing to establish the necessary administrative processes to on-sell these licensees to students and incur the risk of not all licenses being sold.

My experience is that most universities are unwilling to do this and therefore no matter how enthusiastic the students are access the Learning Hub they are unable to do so.  This is a major short coming of the initiative.  But rather than focus on the negatives I am willing to put forward suggestions of how this could be addressed and maximize the participation of students.

      Solution 1.

      1. A student enrolls online at SAP to access the Learning Hub.  They provide their credit card details and a university email address which is associated with a university which is a member of the SAP University Alliance Program (UAP).
      2. The student status is confirmed by an academic at the member university.
      3. Once the student status has been confirmed then the monies are deducted and the students is provided access.

      Solution 2.

      1. The student enrolls via a specified host university.  This university is supplied with licenses to the learning Hub which they can on-sell to any student as long as their university is a member of the UAP.  The university can add a small processing fee to cover administrative costs.
      2. The host university is only charged for licenses once they have been on-sold to a student.

Either of these suggestions would work and would maximize participation as well aligning with SAP's key messaging about Simplify SAP.
