Platform certificates will expire soon

You may have recently noticed some warning signs when accessing the hana.ondemand.com and hanatrial.ondemand.com domains with new browser versions. For example, in Chrome, you can get the following yellow icon & message:

To address this warning, the server certificates for the SAP HANA Cloud Platform will be updated on June 18, 2015.

Due to this change, as of now till June 18 you have to update your dev tools to some of the latest versions, which are compatible with the new server certificates.

Affected tools and systems:

1. Eclipse Tools – all toolkits and packages from the Luna and Kepler installations.
2. SDK – all types. Depending on the runtime you use, update your SDK to the following versions:
   • Java Web  –  1.77.25 or higher
   • Java Web Tomcat 7  –  2.23.7 or higher
   • Java EE 6 Web Profile  –  2.59.15 or higher

We strongly recommend that you have updated your tools by June 18; otherwise, your Eclipse Tools and Console client will stop working properly.
