For those of you we have met at SAPPHIRE that have returned to your offices and for those who were not able to join this year I want to offer a summary of the highlights from a Retail perspective as well as links to the essential replays:

The conference was an overwhelming  success and SAPs retail customers were everywhere speaking about how they Run Simple with SAP Retail.

PGA Tour Super StoresLaying the foundation for future growth’I would like to start with the compelling presentation of Stephen Donnold, CIO of PGA Tour Stores, introduced by Lori Mitchell-Keller, SVP and Global Head of Retail Industry Business Unit. Stephen McDonnold talked about PGA Tour Super Stores motivation to run their business on HANA and in the cloud and what they have achieved in the last months. To watch the replay click here.

Loblaw on Delivering Relevant and Exceptional Customer Experiences Anywhere at Any time. Loblaw shared their journey towards Omnichannel as well as their learnings and conclusions along the way. Main take-away was that there is really no finish line as the consumers continue to set the pace and drive the direction.

Consumer Industries Panel –  The content for the day wrapped up with an impressive executive consumer industries panel which included adidas Group, Hallmark, Ingram Micro, Discount Tire. Pat Bakey Global general Manager Consumer Industries SAP moderated, as these four customers discussed how they engage their customers through omnichannel opportunities and provide a consumer experience that offers a single view of their brand across physical and online channels.  Click here for the replay.


Walmart joined SAPs Member, SAP Executive Board, Products & Innovation Bernd Leukert on stage as Wal-Mart’s CIO, Karenann Terrell, Rob Enslin and Bernd Leukert discussed how Wal-Mart is leveraging SAP’s HANA Technology and the executives talked about speed, innovation and their people. Walmart later were awarded the SAP HANA Trailblazer Award.
