This document aims to provide a list of effective keywords to be used in the SAP Note and KBA Search at the Service Marketplace, in order to make it easier and faster to find the solution. The list will be broken down by subcomponents. Some subcomponents may be broken down into more specific topics.

While the xSearch can look for documentation in many knowledge repositories, the SAP Note and KBA Search has the benefit of allowing to restrict by Software Component and Support Package, which helps to narrow down the results to only notes and KBAs that are valid for your system when looking for solutions.

SCN Blog How to Find the Suitable notes/KBAs provides many details on how to come up with relevant search terms. In this document, I provide many examples of good search terms for PP/DS (SCM-APO-PPS*) application. Furthermore, for each topic/subcomponent, the SAP Help link is provided, such that you can also use it to navigate documentation.

These search terms should be enhanced and/or modified to narrow down the results even more, when necessary. They were tested with a Restriction by Software Component SCM, and Support Package From SAPKY70014.

Example:

A) In the Support Portal, go to Knowledge base & Incidents, then SAP Note & Knowlege Base Article Search, then click Launch the SAP Note and KBA search/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/01_715618.png

B) Specify the Search Terms, as well as the Application Area. Add a restriction “Restrict by Software Components (only experts). Select the appropriate component (SCM, SCMAPO, SCM_BASIS, etc), as well as the release and support package

> From SCM 7.13 onwards, Software Component SCMAPO should be used instead of SCM

> Software Component SCM_BASIS should be included for searches in SCM-BAS* area
