Our real-life experience sharing acts as a guide for customers on what, when and how to consume SAP innovations. Simple, cool and real.
Highlights from Day 1
On day 1, SAPPHIRE NOW, attendees learned about SAP’s internal migration to S/4HANA and saw how SAP’s financial and logistics processes are radically streamlined with high quality (sFIN,sLOG). They saw for the first time how SAP is creating a modern workplace through wearables – imagine a sales executive who can chat with his or her colleagues about a deal and execute deal approval by a tap on their Apple Watch! By extending SAP mobile applications based on HANA and HANA Cloud Platform to the Apple Watch, SAP is providing relevant business information with a flick of the wrist.
Attendees experienced the Boardroom Redefined – a seriously cool new way for executives to manage their board rooms and make fact-based decisions by
leveraging the amazing real-time reporting capabilities of SAP HANA and SAP S/4HANA.
The SAP Runs SAP campus presentations attracted a full house in every session. The demo theater session for Customer Engagement & Commerce implementation generated great discussion about our ability to produce real-time insight into customer engagement and target an audience of one through our hybris marketing solution. A perfect day in the life of a sales executive was demonstrated through our Cloud for Customer solution and the cloud-based, SAP HANA and hybrid process implementations across omni-channel interactions was also explained for attendees. Thomas Saueressig, SVP and Global Head of SAP IT Services and SAP CMO Maggie Chan Jones led a panel discussion on trends in digitalization and the relationship between Marketing and IT to facilitate business-minded marketing. Sessions about SAP’s internal Finance transformation were also highlights from day 1 and we expect more to come in this area in the next 2 days.
