SAP Predictive Analytics 2.1 - Connecting to your SAP ERP System

For fun, I thought I would see if this works.  Of course, using fake data (I can't share real data here).  I am using an ERP BEx query against the FI Check Register.  Say for instance you want to forecast cash flow based on cash paid (in public sector enterprises, this is a big deal in my experience).

Using SAP Predictive's Expert Analytics, I gave this a try.

First (and this is just me) I took a look at how the BEx query looks in Analysis Office.  Note that I am using a SAP Business Content BEx Query against the check register, not one that I created myself.

I decide not to select the Cash Discount.  See the message "Selected query contains features that are not currently supported by this application" - when I tried this in the 2.0 version I couldn't get the standard BEx queries with cost center hierarchies to work.   I hope to research this more later.

Figure 4 shows the model configuration where I select forecast over trend.
