Change log of asset master data

Changes on asset master data could affect asset depreciation calculation as well as output results of asset reports. In standard system, we can check if any change made on a single specific field of asset master data, or on whole asset master data. In addition, we could sort out changed assets from mass asset by ‘Date of change’, ‘Changed by’ and ‘Field changed’ and so on. Here are the ways we can use to check historical changes on asset master data.

Method 1:
To check changes on a solo field of asset master data, we need to follow below steps:

1, Use transaction code AS02 or AS03 to display asset master data
2, Place cursor on the field you want to check its historical changes
3, Go through menu: Environment -> Change documents -> On field

Here is an example to display the changes on field ‘Depreciation key’:

Method  2 :

To check changes on whole asset master data. We need to follow below steps:

1, Use transaction code AS02 or AS03 to display asset master data
2, Go through menu: Environment -> Change documents -> On asset

Here is an example to display all changes on an asset since the asset is activated.

Method  3:

To sort out assets from mass assets by one criteria or combined criteria of ‘Date of change’, ‘Changed by’ and ‘Field changed’ and so on, you can use report RAAEND01 or report RAAEND02 for this purpose.

Here, if we specify below parameters and run report RAAEND01, then we could have same result of example 1.
