It's a busy time to be an ASUG Volunteer - not only is ASUG Annual Conference next week, and not only are we accepting abstracts for ASUG sessions at SAP TechEd Las Vegas, ASUG is accepting abstracts for the ASUG SAP Analytics & BusinessObjects Conference, August 31-September 2nd in Austin Texas.

This year, the ASUG SAP Analytics BusinessObjects Conference is co-located with ASUG's Business One conference.  Additionally this year ASUG is using the same abstract tool as SAP TechEd and ASUG Annual Conference.

Where to start?

Go to this link and you may be prompted to create a new account

When you enter your e-mail, either you have an existing account or you may be prompted to create a new account.  Note you must use your company's e-mail address.

Why Should I Submit?

If your abstract is accepted, you attend the conference for FREE, you get the opportunity to share your knowledge and showcase yourself and your company.   I've also found when I presented that I learn far more than the audience.  It's the rehearsal, preparation, and the process.

What are some tips to submit?

Some tips for your abstract:

  • Customer stories will receive high priority.
  • All presentation titles must be limited to 75 characters or less.
  • Abstracts are limited to 350 words. Please be as thorough as possible when describing the presentation content. Abstracts will be reviewed on their completeness; incomplete abstracts or abstracts of fewer than 50 words will not be considered.
  • There is no limit to the number of abstracts that can be submitted by a potential speaker.

If you have any questions please contact speakers@asug.com

What is different this year for topic areas?

This year the primary topic areas are as follows:

Analysis - includes SAP Lumira, SAP Predictive Analytics, Analysis OLAP/Office, Live Office

Dashboards - includes Design Studio and Dashboards (aka "XCelsius")

Enterprise Information Management - Data Services, Information Steward, Data Quality

What types of abstracts to attendees want to hear?

The results from our ASUG BI 2014 Survey Announcing ASUG BI 2014 Community Survey Results show that ASUG members want to hear more about customer stories and lessons learned (after roadmaps).

Also see this video from last year for other tips and more information - a new video is coming soon:

Please note you also must be an ASUG member to present.  If you have more questions, please post them below.
