Codelco Optimizes Business Operations With Ariba

Codelco, the global leader in the metal industry and the second largest producer of molybdenum, has selected SAP’s Ariba Procurement Content (APC), to make available a great number of goods to their internal customers and to enrich its information from the suppliers’ ecosystem. “The previous systems did not cover all the supply processes, so it was decided to incorporate new technology platforms that help meet these shortcomings. The project took almost two years, including search, definitions, implementation and subsequent deployment,” explains Christian Lagos, Corporate eCommerce Team Leader Supply Management at Codelco.
