At ASUG Annual Conference 2014, I along with Bhanu Gupta had the wonderful experience of presenting a session on BW Workspaces – An Agile BI Environment That Empowers Users to Enhance and Enrich Enterprise Data. Because of the wide interest in this topic, we also shared this through an @ASUG_BI webcast.

This success made us enthusiastic to submit more sessions this year. And we are grateful and lucky to get an opportunity to present on Extending the Reach of LSA++ Using New SAP BW 7.40 Artifacts. We had submitted another session on HANA Smart Data Access with Hadoop which I thought was more interesting but the committee picked this one. Nevertheless we are excited to be at the event next week- for our session and of course a lot, lot more!

In this session we will warm up with a quick intro into Enterprise Data warehousing, followed by Layered Scalable Architecture LSA (Check out the Blog By Juergen Haupt ) – which is the basis of LSA++, what is different from LSA to LSA++, basically a reduction in the data warehouse layers…and there is a lot more to it.

Then we introduce SAP BW 7.4 modeling and provisioning artifacts, namely – ODP and ODQ, Open ODS View, Advance DSO, Composite Providers. Another exciting feature is how you will now be able generate HANA views automatically. BW 7.4 SP9 powered by HANA is the next milestone for enterprise data warehousing with BW on HANA and provides the next level of simplification for BW. In addition, SAP BW on Hana’s Virtual Data Warehouse capabilities have been enhanced for even more flexibility.

To learn more, join our session on May 7. Take a minute to introduce yourself and talk about your plans for BW 7.4 🙂

There are a lot of good sessions where you can learn more on BW 7.4. Be sure to mark on your agenda:

Here is the overall ASUG BI/BW/HANA Schedule with Session Links, nicely done by Tammy Powlas.

Also take a look at the other sessions  on A-TPM, BPC and BW on HANA, being presented by my TekLink colleagues.

Looks like it is going to be another great event…see you there!
