Americas SAP EIS Spring 2015 User Group Meeting: Demand Ramp-Down (“Seasonal”) Effect on Safety Stock Targets

It was great to see everyone at the Spring SUG. It was great to see old friends and meet new members to the group.

The “update on seasonality” was an agenda item for the second day. However it didn’t get presented due to final changes on the schedule. Hence I post some highlights of my presentation here to encourage your feedback on this topic.

The first roll-out solution was provided in the most recent release EIS 6.10 service pack (SP) 1 focusing on end-of-season safety stock correction. The screenshots below highlight problems, solutions, effects on safety stock and potential next steps. For those who are on EIS 6.10 SP1 and/or plan to explore the new feature, please let us know your feedback and we will incorporate them for continuous improvement.
