After weeks of planning and deliberations, the UI-ESEFA team under the leadership of  Dr. Victor Oladokun convened the first ES fundamentals with SAP for students.  Students from Industrial and Production Engineering, Computer Science and Agricultural Economics at University of Ibadan form the first group.

Prof. Lisa Seymour and Tejumade Adeniran, both from University of Cape Town (UCT) offered technical assistance throughout the training and later paid a courtesy call to the Vice-Chancellor of University of Ibadan, Prof. Isaac Adewole.

The students were excited and ready to learn ES fundamentals. Quoting what Dr Adeola Olajide (trainer) said during the workshop exercise …

So we are running the first short course at UI and the lecture this morning was Navigation...your guess is as good as mine. The participants got so engrossed that tea break was announced an hour late and they were still very unwilling to take a break...that is SAP for you

“So finally we got the participants to have some tea but we had to make them shut down and close their laptops before the next lecture could effectively start…..Interesting!”

The examination fixed for the last day of training created sleepless nights for some of the students.

18 students passed out of 21 that sat for the online examination.

I think it is a good result !
