The SAP Labs Latin America’s Instagram was born in January 2015 and, since then, anyone in the web or mobile started seeing the location with a brand new perspective. Created to show more of the Labs site, the Instagram account reached very good numbers since the beginning and it’s the most informal social media channel. By posting photos and videos, we have been showing the building, events and employees through a friendly approach that humanizes our brand.
In order to bring this friendly spirit to the followers, on March we promoted an Instagram contest, called #instacontest. To join it, any employee could take a picture (or a selfie) showing why SAP Labs Latn America is the best tech company to work for in Brazil and post the image on their personal accounts, mentioning our profile (@sablabsla) with hashtag #proudtobeSAP. The results were awesome. We received pictures from the end of year party to the sunset on our building, from places people like to do their daily working routine.
After two weeks, we chose the three most-liked pictures and our managing director, Dennison John, gave the followers a present for their participation on the contest. With this action, we not only increased the number of followers of our account, but also promoted employee engagement and showed more about our life in the perspective of those who work here, helping us on raising the awareness of SAP brand.
