SAPPHIRE NOW Focus on SAP Manufacturing Execution (ME)

As always, SAPPHIRE NOW 2015 promises to be a very exciting event.  For those of you who are interested in discrete manufacturing, there are two sessions that you shouldn’t miss.

The first session is a microforum Drive Compliance in Discrete Manufacturing with Industry 4.0-Level Track and Trace. This discussion will examine how component and process traceability can help you satisfy increasingly strict contractual requirements for meeting government regulations.  You’ll learn how the SAP Manufacturing Execution application offers Industry 4.0-advanced track and trace functions that enable compliance in discrete industries.

The second session will be in the Demo Theater. Support the Industry 4.0 Vision with Guided Production Operations. This session will help you prepare for the future in manufacturing by gaining better visibility into, and control over, production operations now.  You’ll learn how the SAP Manufacturing Execution application guides operators through work activities with production dashboards that provide electronic instructions and 3D visualizations.

And don’t forget to look for us on the show floor every afternoon at the Demo Station.  You can join us in exploring responsive strategies for discrete manufacturing made possible by the SAP Manufacturing Execution application.

Below you’ll find links to both sessions and the demo station to make it easy to add to your agenda.

Thanks to you and Steve for the great clear overview of the SAP ME content at Sapphire.  Not only is this SAP ME at the heart of the manufacturing processes for discrete manufacturers, but it is going to become more critical In light of the on-going changes to realize the vision of Industry 4.0, which you are going to address.  Many of the new capabilities in this latest release (such as the enhanced UI) are even going to be critical as workforces get impacted by increased automation and we have more flexible workers, but they need to be made effective from the first moment they arrive at work.  Visual guided work instructions, simple touch operator screens, etc. are not only valuable for today's manufacturing operations, but will become more critical for the workforce of the future.  I also noticed other enhancements that may seem less exciting on the surface but prepare for tighter integration of increased levels of automation that are evolving rapidly.  Great job with exciting solution and making sure our customers are aware and know how to use it.
