The SAP Academic Conference Americas is the annual conference for member faculty from across the Americas. The event brings together leading university professors, SAP experts, and industry partners to discuss new topics in teaching and research with SAP software. The conference provides the opportunity to exchange ideas and share experiences with colleagues and partners as well as form networking contacts for future curricula and research development.

The 18th SAP Academic Conference Americas will take place in Tempe, Arizona on April 9 – 10, 2015. Faculty will gain valuable insight on SAP innovations in the cloud, including HANA Cloud Platform, Ariba Business Network, and Success Factors. They will explore opportunities to leverage thought leadership from conference speakers on the Internet of Things and Industry 4.0. And they will hear about opportunities to leverage blended learning resources from University Competence Centers, openSAP, and SAP Education including insights on SAP S/4HANA and new analytic solutions from SAP.

The conference features an SAP executive keynote from Ann Rosenberg, vice president and head of global SAP University Alliances, on new opportunities for professors to enable their students to learn, apply, and share their SAP knowledge and skills, be recruited into the SAP ecosystem, and engage in social impact projects including the new SAP Young Thinkers program which brings SAP into high schools. There will also be a keynote speech from ASUG Chief Executive Officer, Geoff Scott, on ASUG strategy, early talent needs of SAP customer, and opportunities to engage with ASUG members. Attendees will hear updates from the University Alliances North American Academic Board as well as the University Competence Centers which host SAP teaching systems for member campuses across the Americas.  Breakout sessions will feature new curriculum, opportunities for big data research on SAP HANA, and best practices to build industry partnerships.
