Introduction

We have recently performed the OS upgrade from V6R1 to V7R1 in our ERP landscape. After the upgrade we have noticed that we were not able to release the transport requests in development environment with the following errors.

We tried checking all the logs but could not find any clue as what would have gone wrong. We thought It is kernel or DBSL path issue since we are running kernel 7.0 patch level 353.Finally the problem got resolved by deleting the SQL packages at the os level.

Step by Step procedure to delete SQL packages

Step 1: Log on to OS 400 system as SIDADM user and Stop sap system.

Select option 3 and stop the system

Step 2:Go to option 4 SAP DATABASE

Step2: Select Option 4 (SAP Database) The following screen appears

Step3: Select option 5 (Delete SAP SQL Packages)

Step4: Once SQL packages are deleted then start the SAP instance.

You are done. Once the system comes up try to release the transport request it should be release with out any issues.

Thanks

Imad
