Lost symbols after a Power designer migration

Dear all,

I have recently migrated to Power Designer 16.5 from 15.3. The repository migration was carried out without any error messages. When I check out a document from the repository, everything seems fine, except that the display preferences for the symbols are not present. In fact, no symbols are displayed at all in the CDM diagram. If I open the same document that I have saved locally before the migration with the Power designer 16.5 application, the symbols are displayed as they should. The repository is in Oracle 12, the connection is done directly via ODBC connection.

Any ideas about this?

I don't know how this happened, but one fix could be to:

      • open a 15.3 local copy of the model, PD will upgrade it to 16.5
      • check the model in to the repository
      • use the merge dialogue to update the diagram symbols from the local model

      Hello,

Yes, that would work, thanks for your idea. Unfortunately, this has happened to all my models, so it would involve a lot of work.
