Innovation Day at SAP Silicon Valley showcases the latest in IoT
Innovation Day will feature ideas and technology being developed by SAP employees in Silicon Valley. The event will be held twice a year and will provide a platform for SAP employees across all functions to discuss products and technology, exchange ideas, and explore new collaborations.
The first Innovation Day will be held on April 16, 2015 in the atrium at Palo Alto’s Building 8, and will focus on the Internet of Things (IoT). This is going to be the first-ever IoT related event at SAP Silicon Valley on so large a scale, with a maker faire inspired venue that includes five exhibitor stations and more than 20 speaker sessions. The keynotes will be delivered by Stanford professors Larry Leifer and Joe Bernstein.
If you have been tinkering with an idea and would like guidance on your project, join the IoT Ideathon on April 8, ahead of Innovation Day. This will be a design thinking workshop where employee teams will develop IoT related ideas. The teams will then have the chance to present their ideas to a panel of judges on Innovation Day. The winners will be announced at the celebrations that follow in the Building 8 cafeteria, along with drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and arcade games. IoT Ideathon welcomes all employees to participate. If you will not be there as a participant, we welcome you to come explore the newest innovations in IoT being developed in Silicon Valley on April 16 – it’s going to be an exciting event!
