With their disparate system landscape Latin-American wood pulp and lumber producer Arauco had to spend significant effort on data acquisition, validation and cleansing. They faced lack of access to business data and had no opportunity to evaluate what-if scenarios. With SAP Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) it was possible to decrease data consolidation time from 7 to 2 days, and the forecasting process went down from 6 to 3 hours – at increased acceptance across all involved organizational units!
