SAP & Samsung South Africa Seal Enterprise System Partnership

It is very interesting to see how the combination of the in-memory platform and SAP’s mobile platform enable whole new forms of collaboration.

Samsung South Africa and SAP have revealed plans to deliver enterprise mobility systems for a number of industries. According to Samsung, the new ecosystem will be designed to extend the reach of Samsung mobile services and SAP’s Mobile Platform. The companies said the collaboration will present developers with an integrated offering from Samsung and SAP on mobile devices and wearables, as well as with joint cloud activities based on the SAP HANA Cloud Platform. According to both companies, the partnership is expected to benefit the retail industry by integrating payments made on-the-go, and shedding light on innovative shopping experiences for consumers and retailers alike. Samsung and SAP expect to initially focus on key scenarios in vertical markets where the shift towards mobility presents the greatest opportunities for the collaboration to bring value to customers.
