It’s been an exhilarating experience to be a part of the SAP Techniversity 2015, held in Bangalore on 12th March, 2015. It has been an honour to witness the best at SAP TechEd along with over 1,500 students from 25 universities.
On behalf of the SAP University Alliances, Mahesh Nayak (Chief Operating Officer, SAP Labs India) and Ann Rosenberg (Vice President, Head of Global SAP University Alliances) welcomed the young and keen audience. The event is exclusively for students to acquaint and inspire them with the latest of technologies in the industry. Right from Internet of Things to Cloud on HANA platform, from DemoJam experiences to openSAP courses all the trending topics were covered. The “Age of Digital Experience” by Clas Neumann (SVP, Fast Growth Markets and SAP Labs Network) covered several interesting applications with the use of devices such as Google Glasses and connected cars, based on augmented reality. Duncan Williamson (Regional Vice President and Head of Education, SAP Asia Pacific Japan) spoke on SAP Learning Hub and SAP Certification. Aviral Pandey (Business Head – India, Peel) enlightened the audience on “Smart home Control”. Jairo Fernandez (Vice President, Human Resources, SAP Asia Pacific Japan) instilled the inspiration to “Be the Next Gen of the Digital Enterprise”. A demo on how applications use Google Glasses was given by Viswanadh Akella (Manager, Technology & Mobile Enablement at Solution Experience, SAP Labs India).
During the event, several gifts such as Pronto from Peel, presentation pointer, etc. were announced for some of the lucky students.
The event observed a high volume of activity over the social media channels such as Twitter with two hashtags in particular – #1stStudentMeetUp and #SAPTechniversity. The enthusiastic students and the Social Warriors team (at SAP Labs India), helped surpass the following figures:
