With recent concerns with Ebola in Africa and beyond, HANA, in conjuction with the CDC, the World Health Organization, and others could be used to more quickly respond to major medical concerns as well as look for trends or growth patterns in cases with certain diseases.  HANA would be able to process updates from the different organizations as well as aggregate the data in a timely fashion.

This data would allow the organizations, volunteers, governments, and the medical community the ability to plan for and respond to global concerns.  This could mean education, medical teams, preventative measures, etc.  By looking at the data over time, opportunities for impacting global communities can be observed, as well.

Given that I am not in the medical community, I suspect there are many more great ideas that could benefit from this initiative.  I welcome your thoughts and feedback as we strive to make this world a better place by giving back.
