Design Thinking (Design Thinking on SCN) is part of a lot of innovation and ideation processes with customers and inside SAP. The design thinking coach is essential to make the design thinking process a success. In today´s digital age, corporate tooling such as SAP Innovation Management can be used to collaborate and ideate before, during and after the design thinking process. In fact SAP Innovation Management can be used prior to design thinking to collect initial ideas. Additionally, SAP Innovation Management can be used to keep the community up to date on the current status of an idea or by just simply posting a comment. Finally, SAP Innovation Management can be used to document the results of the design thinking process and let the resulting ideas to be evaluated remotely.

As consequence he will appear in the expert finder as a suitable candidate for particular topics, he/she has worked previously in campaigns and ideas. By this he/she will be more recognized as an experienced individual. SAP Innovation Management helps the coach to be facilitative by sending notifications upon status updates and progress to interested users. Coaches can thereby easily keep the desired level of interaction and engage with others. Coaches can be experimental, as submitting a new idea and advancing existing ones is really easy, for instance using the mobile app for SAP Innovation Management. In general the Innovation Community is the entry point to see and experience the full range of creativity and mindfulness of colleagues, partners and customers. This keeps the coach empathetic, curious and optimistic.
