More UX resources through ASUG
The Americas SAP User Group (ASUG) is committed to helping companies (over 3,800 participate) obtain the greatest value from their investments in SAP enterprise software. ASUG has national conferences, local meetings, and many online events to share knowledge and best practices.
Recently ASUG launched a new user experience special interest group (UX SIG). The focus of this SIG will be on areas related to the user experience that optimize how people interact with SAP. The goal is to make people happier and more productive using SAP software.
Defining User Experience
User experience is not just about the user interface. From ASUG’s point of view, UX is the end-to-end experience for enterprise applications, and includes all aspects of user interactions with enterprise systems, as well as processes for defining UX strategy, standards, and developing UX. Their approach is to look at UX holistically, encompassing the following areas:

- Sign-up for the SIG: Once you sign up, all upcoming UX-related webcast will be emailed to you as part of the “Your Upcoming ASUG Webcasts” Monday newsletter. You will also get a quarterly newsletter via this mechanism.
- Follow the ASUG discussion forum: Once you follow us, you will get updates from our user community forum (Q&As, polls, blog posts, tweets, etc). Updates could be communicated either as email or connections streams within ASUG website.
