Decided to put another Viz together on my Orlando Magic and put it into Infographic format analyzing our new coach James Borrego who took over the team 6 games ago. For the first 57 games of the Season our hometown Magic had a pretty sorry showing in all respects and it reflected in the NBA Advanced Stats results. In the 6 games since the teams overall NetRating ( Point differential per 100 possessions ) has improved by 9.6 points on a foundation of improved defense. Advanced Stats Defensive Rating is an improved 8.2 points per 100 possessions. There have been some definite line up changes as we have discussed which play into this as clear emphasis points on the defensive end in how to handle pick and roll defense and weak side help. We won't get too much further into Behind The Basketball in this post but it is natural for now to wonder if these changes are sustainable or a brief statistical wonderland before we downslope back to mediocrity.
